Media for Citizens Story Lab
Media for Citizens Story Lab project seeks to empower professional and citizen media makers to connect with their audience, and together shed light on socially important topics and possible solutions in responsible way. As well as facilitate involvement of audience in media production and discussions on relevant topics with journalists, media representatives, experts, and policy makers in order to make proposals on solutions to societal challenges in Europe. The aim of the project is to establish and sustain a network facilitating citizen and engaged journalism in Europe.
Collaborative & Engaging Critical Thinking Lab
“Collaborative & Engaging Critical Thinking Lab” will strengthen human rights-respecting public discourse through the first platform for engaged journalism in Lithuania, uniting all stakeholders (human rights experts, journalists and the members of the most stigmatised groups) in a virtual community. The result – over 40 engaging multimedia stories about human rights, which will be disseminated through the mainstream media.
Participation in European Observatory of Online Hate
The European Observatory of Online Hate is a project supported by the European Commission’s Rights, Equality and Citizenship Programme Call: REC-AG-2020 awarded by DG Justice. Textgain together with Dare To Be Grey, Hogeschool Utrecht and PCDS will undertake a two-year investigation into and reporting on the fundamental nature of the dynamics of online hate, how hate manifests itself, the connections between the perpetrators and their influence as well as disinformation strategies.
Digital MIL Lab in Youth Work
The main aim of this project is to integrate innovative distance learning courses into the media and information literacy (MIL) formal and non-formal education, and help different stakeholders to strengthen society’s MIL skills and competences. This includes skills in information verification, content analysis, debunking misinformation, and critical thinking.
