For the occasion of International Tolerance Day Media4change together with NISI (National Institute for Social Integration) organised a discussion with editors and vulnerable groups.
The main participants of this discussion were vice editor-in-chief of Lrytas.lt Arūnas Ivaškevičius, editor-in-chief of “Lietuvos žinios” Ramūnas Terleckas, Vilnius University Institute of Public Health Associate Professor Marija Jakubauskienė, Director of Tolerant Youth Association Jūratė Juškaitė, Director of House of Roma Integration Božena Karvelienė.
In discussion also participated representative of Human Rights Center, Lithuanian Jewish Community, other NGOs, vulnerable groups, journalists from various media outlets.
Media4change also opened an exhibition called “(Not) stereotypical Headline”. These are the real headlines from Lithuanian media outlets. They pay attention to the depiction of society groups in the media and maintains critical approach to it.
